Range hood disassembly and cleaning-Alice

December 10, 2021

Body: Before using the new range hood that you bought, sprinkle a thin layer of soap powder in the two oil storage boxes, and then pour about one-third of the water so that the recovered oil floats on the water. Instead of condensing on the wall of the box, wait until the waste oil is full, and then do the same after dumping it.

Before using the range hood, you can use a slightly damp cloth dipped in dishwashing detergent (do not add water -) to wipe the body, and wipe as much as possible on the fan blades. After it is naturally dry, The'detergent coating' to prevent oil fume from sticking is completed. After a while, if the body feels sticky to the touch, it is time to clean the body. Since there has been a "protective coating" between the oil and the fuselage, if you wash the fuselage directly with hot water at 80°C, the oil will be washed off first. After the cleaning work is over, apply the detergent on the body again, apply it slightly thicker, and control the humidity at the'non-drip', and then cover the switch with plastic wrap.

Oil storage box: The waste oil in the oil storage box of the range hood is filtered out of the top layer, which is the "best oil remover" for cleaning the stains on the ventilator, stove and range hood. The specific method is to use a rag or torn towel to dip the waste oil on the oily area, soak it for about half a minute, wipe it off with a cloth, and then wipe it with a clean scouring pad. At this time, the body of the range hood is bright enough. "Look in the mirror".

In addition to the “water storage cleaning method” mentioned above, put a layer of plastic wrap in the box or put a small plastic bag containing oranges on the inner wall of the oil storage box to ensure that the plastic film or plastic bag is completely Cover the inner surface of the box and "can hold" the adsorbed waste oil. Then, after a period of time, the oil storage box is basically clean after pumping and replacing it.

Oil net: The oil net that protects the fan blades can be slowly removed with a screwdriver. After spraying with "oil fume net", put it in a plastic bag, let it stand for 15 minutes and then take it out, pour 80℃ hot water into the basin and wash it carefully with a rag . If the grease on the grease net is very thick, you can also use a thin bamboo sheet to gently scrape off some of the grease before cleaning.

Fan blades: Do you have to use'oil fume cleaning' to clean the fan blades? uncertain. Although the oil fume filter has a strong saponification and emulsification ability on the oil on the fuselage and fan blades, after covering the table under the fume hood with newspaper, spray the fumes on the fuselage and fan blades, and turn it on in a few minutes. The range hood uses the centrifugal force of the fan to remove the oil fume and dissolved oil, and then wipe it with a wet paper towel. The body and fan blades can be cleaned. However, the oil fume is a chemical product after all. The skin and respiratory tract mucosa have a certain stimulating effect, so we should use it sparingly. Here are four kinds of fan de-oiling methods that are'free of oily fume cleaning', you can try them:

1. Dishwashing detergent and vinegar soaking method. Carefully remove the fan blades and soak them in a pot of hot water mixed with 2 ml of detergent and 50 ml of vinegar. After soaking for about 15 minutes, wipe them with a clean cloth. The fuselage of the range hood is also cleaned with this solution. It is necessary to keep the humidity of the solution at about 60°C for good detergency. This self-prepared cleaning solution has been proven to be non-irritating to the hand skin and intraocular mucous membranes, non-corrosive to the range hood, and the surface still maintains its original luster after cleaning.

2. Pressure cooker steam flushing method. Put half a pot of cold water in the pressure cooker and boil it. When the steam is continuously discharged, remove the pressure limiting valve, turn on the range hood and aim the steam water column at the rotating fan blades. As the high-hot water steam continuously washes the fan blades, the oily sewage will be lost. Will flow into the waste oil box following the oil drain groove.

3. After the brushed fan blades are air-dried, apply a layer of office glue. After a few months of use, tear off the oil stains on the fan blades into pieces, and all the oil stains are stained on the glue layer, which is convenient and clean.

4. First spread the newspaper on the stove, turn on the switch of the range hood to "preheat" the fan blades for two minutes, spray detergent on the fan of the range hood, turn off the range hood, let it stand for three minutes, and then ℃ hot water is sprayed into the fan of the range hood, and then the switch is turned on to allow the dissolved oil to drip into the oil storage box.
