There are five main reasons why stylus printers cannot print:
1. The printer cannot be printed because it is not online.
Solution: There is a small light indicating the online status next to the OnLine button. Normally, the online indicator should be in a constant light state. If the indicator is off or blinking, it means that the connection is abnormal.
2. Not setting the printer as the default printer causes printing failure.
Solution:
Step 1: Click the Start menu, point to Settings, click Printers, and open the printer window.
Step 2: Right-click the printer icon, the system pops up a quick menu, click on it as default.
3. The printer is in a paused printing state and cannot print.
Solution: In the printer window, right-click the icon of the printer in use, and then click to clear the check mark in front of the Pause Printing option.
4. The free disk space is less than 10MB, causing printing failure.
Solution: If the available hard disk space is less than 10MB (usually refers to the C drive), you must release more space to complete the print task. At this time, please click the Disk Cleanup button, and then in the file list box to be deleted, select the file type to be deleted, and click the OK button.
5. The local printer port setting is not correct, causing printing failure.
Solution:
Step 1: In the printer window, right-click the printer icon, and then click Properties.
Step 2: Click the Detailed Information tab, and in the Print to the following port box, make sure that the printer is set to the appropriate port. The most commonly used port is set to LPT1, and some printers use USB ports.
