Where are the three points of the golf club lever-Alice

November 22, 2021

The position of the hand closer to the end of the golf club is the power point of action, the position of the hand farther from the end of the golf club is the fulcrum, and the hitting point is the point of resistance.

Principle of golf club lever:

In the horizontal driving process, the left hip is basically similar to the fulcrum of the lever system, the right hip is similar to the power point, the thrust of the right leg to the right hip is similar to the power, the connecting line between the left and right hips is similar to the power arm, the club head is similar to the resistance point, The horizontal force of inertia is similar to resistance, and the arms and clubs raised by the waist are similar to resistance arms.

From the dynamic balance analysis and motion analysis of this lever system, it can be seen that since the power capacity (the maximum thrust of the right leg) and the power arm are relatively large (compared to other parts of the body), the resistance that can be driven The driving force on the point is also great, and the horizontal movement speed of the right leg pushing the right hip is transmitted through the lever to magnify the horizontal movement speed of the club head many times.

Grip

1. Left hand: Place the pole diagonally across the first knuckle of the index finger against the palm and tightly lean against the thick pad at the lower end of the palm edge. The "V" pattern of the thumb and index finger should point to the right eye.

2. Right hand: Use your fingers to hold the pole, press the pole straight over the knuckles of the palm, and be sure to hold it outside the palm of your hand. The middle finger and ring finger are the hardest. When practicing the right hand grip, remove the thumb and index finger of the right hand. The thumb and index finger form a "V" pattern and point to the chin.

Close: When holding the rod with both hands, they should be joined together to form a whole. The little finger of the right hand is in the gap between the left and middle fingers; the thumb of the left hand is steadily hidden in the socket under the thumb of the right palm.

Standing posture

The right foot squarely abuts the imaginary line parallel to the trajectory at 90°. Open your left foot 1/4 outwards, with the No. 5 iron as the standard. Separate your feet and shoulder-width apart. If you are longer than the No. 5 iron, open it wider; if it is shorter than the No. 5 iron, move your feet inward. Keep your arms and joints as close to your body as possible, and point your feet inwards.
